I never thought I would be the person writing a confession like this.
I cheated on my wife with her best friend, and now she is pregnant with my child.
I know how terrible that sounds because it is. There is no excuse for what I did. My wife trusted both of us, and we betrayed that trust in the worst possible way.
What makes this even harder is that I have to live with the fact that this isn't something I can simply hide or forget. A child is involved, and sooner or later, the truth will have to come out.
I feel ashamed every time I look at my wife. She has done nothing to deserve this, and I am the one who destroyed the trust in our marriage.
I'm not posting this looking for sympathy. I know I made a selfish and devastating choice, and I have to accept whatever consequences come from it.
I don't know what the future holds for my marriage, but I know I cannot undo what I've done. All I can do now is take responsibility, stop lying to myself, and face the truth.
I betrayed my wife, hurt someone who trusted me, and created consequences that will affect more than just the two people involved.
I am deeply sorry for what I have done.
