The Friend I Ghosted

I had a friend who was always there for me. They checked in, supported me, and cared in ways I didn’t always deserve. Then one day, I just… disappeared. I didn’t respond to their texts, ignored calls, and convinced myself it was “easier this way.”
The truth? I was overwhelmed with my own struggles and didn’t know how to explain. I thought I was protecting them from my mess, but all I really did was hurt them. If they ever read this: I’m sorry. You deserved honesty, not silence.
